Hollande Jean-Marc Ayrault Lift as Prime Minister

French President Francois Hollande Jean-Marc Ayrault lift, chairman of the Socialist faction in parliament and mayor of Nantes, as prime minister on Tuesday.

"The President appoints Jean-Marc Ayrault as prime minister and assigned him to form a new government," the Elysee Palace said in a brief statement. Ayrault are expected to form his cabinet Wednesday, ahead of his first cabinet meeting, kemungkinsn Thursday.
