French journalist freed by FARC

A French journalist who stand by leftist rebels of Colombia (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia / FARC) for over a month finally released on Wednesday in a small village in the southern Colombian jungle.

According to the testimony of AFP journalist, a journalist France 24, Romeo Langlois who was arrested in late April by the FARC in a raid conducted by Colombian army units that follow to combat drug dealers.

Langlois smiled on Wednesday welcomed by the crowd when he arrived in the small village of San Isidro in the Colombian jungle, before being handed to a team from the International Red Cross Committee.

He was wearing a gray shirt and black pants, and arrived in the village with about 300 people who were taken by car and is accompanied by some rebels.

"Despite the fact that I was detained for a month, everything went very well. I can not complain, they treated me very well and treated respectfully as a guest," said Langlois.
