Amman - A Jordanian teenager was 17 years old, killed his father, mother, two brothers and an uncle because he "disagreed" with them, police said Thursday.

"The suspect killed five members of his family, including his father, who worked as a teacher, mother, two brothers, who went on to study at local universities, and his uncle, a retired colonel," said a police spokesman told AFP, speaking without mentioning the name.

"Students, who admitted shooting dead his family because he disagreed with them, was arrested less than 24 hours after he committed the crime," in Sweileh, north of Amman, he said.

Spokesman added that police "found the bodies wrapped in clothing in the family's home floor."

"Almost all the victims were shot in the head," he said, adding that further investigations are underway. He did not elaborate on what caused the "difference" is.
