Increase the Brazil-Turkey Relations and Military Technology

Chief of defense Brazil and Turkey on Monday promised to improve military relations and technology transfer between the two countries is developing.


At a meeting in Sao Paulo, Celso Amorim, Brazil's Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz and his partner signed a memorandum of understanding to formalize the steps for developing a defense industrial cooperation between the two countries, including technology transfer and joint projects. "


Yilmaz, at the beginning of his visit to Brazil, expressed interest in the South American country of aerospace technology, cybernetics and unmanned aircraft.


When the leaders meeting in October, the two countries forge closer ties with the promise to increase trade and strengthen relationships.


President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, said during a visit to Ankara that the trade between the two countries reached 2 billion U.S. dollars (about Rp18 trillion) in 2011, and Turkish President Abdullah Gul, said the state has a target to reach 10 billion U.S. dollars (about Rp92 trillion) "in a very short time."
